Airdrie Railway Station

Airdrie railway station is a railway station serving the town of Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. The station is managed by First ScotRail and is served by trains on the North Clyde Line.

Once the Airdrie-Bathgate rail link reopens, the station will be refurbished. Plans include a third platform capable of holding 9 carriages opposite [platform 2, the extension of platform 2 and a large car park facility.

Services

The station is served by half hourly trains from Drumgelloch to Helensburgh Central and return which use platform 2. Platform 1 is used by trains from Airdrie to Balloch via Singer, providing a quarter hourly service to Glasgow. In addition to this, there are some peak time express services to Milngavie, calling at Coatdyke, Coatbridge Sunnyside and Blairhill before running fast to High Street and calling at all stations to Milngavie.

On Sundays, only the Drumgelloch to Helensburgh Central service operates.
