Ash Railway Station

Ash railway station serves the village of Ash in Surrey, England. The station is served by South West Trains, who manage the station, and by First Great Western. It is situated on the Ascot to Guildford line and the North Downs Line 10 km (6ΒΌ miles) west of Guildford.

Name and history

Ash station opened in May 1855. In September 1858, it was re-named Ash and Aldershot station and shortly after, in June 1859, it was re-named Aldershot, Ash station. In July 1863, it was re-named Ash and Aldershot station. This name continued until November 1926, when it reverted to its original, and current, name, Ash station.

Services

South West Trains operate services every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday, and every 60 minutes on Sundays between Ascot and Guildford via Aldershot. First Great Western operate services approximately every 60 minutes between Reading and Shalford, with some trains continuing to Redhill or Gatwick Airport.
