Salford Crescent Railway Station

Salford Crescent is one of two railway stations serving the city of Salford, in the county of Greater Manchester, England. The other station is Salford Central.

The station is 3 km (1¾ miles) west of Manchester Victoria and 3.5 km (2¼ miles) west of Manchester Piccadilly. It consists of a single island platform with a ticket office and waiting room.

The station is also signposted as "For the University of Salford", as the station is located on the edge of both the Peel Park Campus and the Frederick Road Campus.

Salford Crescent is located on two main rail lines in the Manchester area. First, it forms the point of a split in the Manchester-Preston Line, with local services running on to Manchester Victoria and long-distance services going to Manchester Piccadilly. Secondly, it is part of the line between Manchester and Wigan Wallgate. Due to its location it is frequently used as an interchange between the two lines.

Services
