The crossing at this station is absolutely ridiculous! I swear the barriers are down more than they're up! The operators must close the gates when they receive word that a train driver is thinking of leaving Norwich station! Waits of 15 minutes are quite normal, absolutely unbelievable and a source of major irritation and quite a bit of humour around these parts, many stories of people actually falling asleep whilst waiting.
If Carlsberg did railway crossings they certainly wouldn't do it like this pathetic example.

Only eleven passengers a year now, according to Wikipedia! When I was a child and teenager growing up in the fens nearby, I used it more than eleven times in a year myself. In fact, I used it most weeks to get to Ely and back. How times have changed!
